Rural communities are now going to get a reduced #RBS mobile banking service.

The Royal Bank of Scotland is cutting the mobile banking van timetable. Stops previously lasting 45 minutes, will be cut to 20 minutes, giving rural folk even less time to access their bank.

RBS announced last year it would be cutting a further 62 bank branches in Scotland, with some communities losing their only remaining bank as a result.

RBS promised an improved mobile banking service to compensate for the closures when we met them in Westminster earlier this year, and investment in mobile bank vans.

When will the UK Government intervene?

The new timetable starts on 21st May and includes more stops, but shorter times in some locations. Timetables are available here:…/ways-to-bank/mobile-branch.html
