The Board of SRA has had to make some important changes resulting from the announcement of the General Election on December 12.
Our Chair, Amanda Burgauer, is standing as a candidate. She has therefore stood aside as Chair for the duration of the election campaign. Vanessa Halhead has taken over as Interim Chair. If Amanda is elected, she will not return, and the Board will put in place procedures for selecting a new Chair.
The timing of the election has also necessitated the postponement of our AGM and Conference. This will now take place on February 26-27th, at the same venue in New Lanark.
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
We are looking for people from across rural Scotland to apply to volunteer at our National Conference, which takes place on 26-27 February 2020 at New Lanark in South Lanarkshire.
SRA’s success in holding events like this are in no small part down to the work of volunteers. There are a number of important roles available such as helping to facilitate workshops, feeding back to groups and helping to ensure each day runs smoothly.
No experience is necessary as full training will be given where required. Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.
