Last week the Scottish Government announced it’s Programme for Government 2018-19.
Each year after the long summer recess the Scottish Government kickstarts the Parliamentary year by announcing the work it intends to progress – known as the Programme for Government (PfG). This includes intention for funding, planning and what Bills they intend to introduce to Parliament.
The Scottish Government will support the hosting of the next Rural Parliament in Stranraer in November and continue to listen to the views of rural communities about what matters to them most.
Nicola Sturgeon MSP, First Minister of Scotland
The PfG covers the whole remit of work of the Government, so is a lengthy document (122 pages!). In our downloadable paper we identify the areas that we believe will have most impact on rural communities and we give our response to each. The paper also gives a brief summary of each of the planned Bills.
