RBS criticised by Scottish Affairs Committee

The Scottish Affairs Committee released it’s report into the Royal Bank of Scotland closures this weekend, saying:

The closure of these branches will be a devastating blow to the affected communities, removing vital services relied upon by businesses and disproportionately affecting vulnerable customers. We are not convinced that RBS fully appreciate the damage these closures will do to the communities and businesses that rely on these branches

Scottish Rural Action (SRA) provided evidence on the closures at the Scottish Affairs Committee in January earlier this year, following contact from our members who were deeply concerned with the issue.
