The work of Scottish Rural Action is set by the Scottish Rural Parliament and amended on a yearly basis.
The Scottish Rural Parliament takes place every two years. It’s open to everyone who wants to talk about rural issues and each Rural Parliament is hosted by a different region of rural Scotland. So far we have had:
- Oban in 2014
- Brechin in 2016
- Stranraer in 2018
Towards the end of this year, we’ll start asking communities to bid for the 2020 Rural Parliament.
The Rural Parliament sets out our priorities for the work that Scottish Rural Action should carry out. Think of our process as being like a suspension bridge, with the Rural Parliament being the pillars and the ongoing work the connections and work between them.
