Scottish Rural Action sent a team of 5 people to the 4th European Rural Parliament in Asturias, Spain in November 2019. The Scottish delegates were part of a larger UK contingent, including along delegates from England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. News from the event is accessible on the dedicated event website. You can download reports and papers from the ERP here, and you can read the diary of one of the SRA delegates here.

The UK element of the ROAD project considered how links can be maintained with rural communities across Europe post Brexit. We welcomed the support of the Republic of Ireland with this work and interaction with Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Finland and Netherlands.

The Scottish Rural Parliament (SRP) hosted the ROAD workshop in Stranraer in November 2018. The full report of the SRP event can be read here and details of the workshop here Maintaining links with Europe. The workshop findings form part of the final report.

The final report for this piece of work can be accessed here European Rural Parliament ROAD Report.

The two year ROAD project was financed by the Europe for Citizens programme and it was managed and implemented by the Finnish Village Movement Association in cooperation with ELARDERCA and PREPARE. SRA is an active member of ERCA.
